There is nothing quite like a canoe trip!

A big part of the Camp Big Canoe experience is out-tripping. From our youngest campers who get to visit our on-site camp sites (Lucy and Belvedere), to three day canoe trips for some of our older units, out-tripping provides an opportunity for campers to bond as a group while enjoying the experience of the Canadian wilderness.

Certified trip guides prepare trips tailored to the needs and skills of the individual camper and their units. Campers will take part in learning how to properly pack and prepare for a trip from meal planning to equipment safety to campsite set-up. The real fun begins however, once arriving at the camp site – meals cooked over an open fire, marshmallows roasted, and stories told. The out-trip, time and again, is the highlight of the session for many of our campers.
