Music is one of my favourite parts of Camp Big Canoe. Being woken for Polar Bear swim by a friendly song played by a trumpet, singing grace before meals, hiking while singing on the way to chapel, lip-syncing staff performances at Cheez House, paddling down the river while singing an echo song, and enjoying a campfire performance of guitars and voices, are all wonderful memories I have.
I continue to appreciate and be impressed by the talents of so many people who share their music! Despite not masterfully playing an instrument myself, or feeling confident with my singing voice, I LOVE the music at camp. I think because it is a place where all voices are celebrated, I feel comfortable singing with friends at camp. I love when a magical earworm stays with me for the day or night!
I so appreciate that musical people share their talents with us each summer. Thank you for sharing your gifts!
