2023 Dates & Rates

New for 2023!

Our week long camps filled up first and we decided to provide more opportunities for families to register for 1 week (see sessions 1A & 1B and 3A & 3B). We are still offering 2 twelve day sessions which include off-site trips for our older campers.

Flexible Pricing 

Camp Big Canoe is offering flexible pricing with 3 choices for our sessions. Every family can choose the level  of payment that is right for their situation. The level you choose is voluntary and will in no way influence the experience your children will have at camp, yet it offers the opportunity for families to take an active role in supporting the true cost of their child’s camp experience.  Only office staff will be aware of the rate choice, for billing purposes.

Option A is the traditionally subsidized rate, Option C is the rate that is more representative of the true cost of camp, while option B is the mid-point. We recognize that Option A is still difficult for some families to cover, so camperships will continue to be available.

There is no bus for Pee Wee camp – Parents of Pee Wee campers: Please plan to bring your campers to camp to arrive at 4:00 pm Friday, July 28. Please plan to pick them up between 9:30 am and 10:00 am Tuesday, August 1.

Directions to New Hope United Church
New Hope United Church is the departure and arrival location of our bus

Southbound on highway 400:
take the Rutherford exit and turn left on Rutherford
proceed to the 3rd light and turn right
proceed to the 1st left and turn left to parking in front of New Hope United Church

Northbound on highway 400
take the Rutherford exit and turn right on Rutherford
proceed to the 2nd light and turn right
proceed to the 1st left and turn left to parking in front of New Hope United Church

if on Jane St

Southbound on Jane:
turn right on Rutherford
proceed to the 1st light and turn left
proceed to the 1st left and turn left to parking in front of New Hope United Church

Northbound on Jane:
turn left on Rutherford
proceed to the 1st light and turn left
proceed to the 1st left and turn left to parking in front of New Hope United Church

Transportation costs by highway coach are $45 for each way totaling $90 for campers travelling both to and from the camp by bus, with the exception of LITs and Skills campers. HST is applicable on bus transportation. CAMPERS WHO WISH TO CANCEL THE BUS MUST NOTIFY THE REGISTRAR TWO WEEKS AHEAD OF THE CAMP DATE IN ORDER TO BE REIMBURSED.
