Camp Big Canoe for boys and girls is located on a 240 acre wooded site surrounding Hart Lake in the beautiful Muskoka District. Campers are given every opportunity to experience the challenge and rewards of outdoor living and to appreciate their natural environment. Centralized permanent buildings provide showers and housing for senior staff. Campers and counsellors live in large airy tents on raised wooden floors.

Camp Big Canoe offers a wide range of camping activities designed to promote physical, intellectual and spritual development. These include:

  • swimming
  • hiking
  • out-tripping
  • earth studies
  • all-camp activities
  • canoeing
  • archery
  • campcraft
  • volleyball
  • special programs
  • kayaking
  • campfires
  • cookouts
  • unit activities
  • singsongs
  • crafts
  • group games
  • music & drama

  • There are short canoe trips of one, two or three days. Each participant is prepared before taking part in an out-trip.

Campers explore their Christian faith through a program called "Rediscovery", evening vespers, morning watch and weekly all-camp worship.
